A young woman from a distant world who appears in one of many tales about the ocean of stars. Sophia's father is the number one authority on space-time theory, and following in his footsteps, she has enrolled in the space-time department at her high school. Very skilled at all sorts of chores, she takes good care of her childhood friend Fayt, whose parents also work full-time. Her feelings for him, though, go beyond that of just friendship.

Sophia Esteed (ソフィア・エスティード, Sofia Esutīdo?) is a character from the Star Ocean franchise. She makes a playable appearance as a summonable vision in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius and was introduced as part of the second collaboration with Star Ocean -anamnesis-.
Sophia is the female protagonist of the series' third installment, Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. A young woman born on 28th-century Earth, Sophia is separated from her longtime friend Fayt when an attack on the resort planet of Hyda IV forces an immediate evacuation of the planet. What becomes of her is not known for a large portion of the story.
Gameplay[]
Sophia is a Global-exclusive 5-7★ Rare Summon, available for summoning during the rerun of Vanquish Jie Revorse! (which ran in January 2019). Her job is listed as Caster, and her role is Magic Damage. She has no innate element or status ailment resistances. Her Trust Master is the Crescent Rod (ATK+28, MAG+135), which grants the passive Connection Symbol when equipped by Sophia. Her Super Trust Master reward is Sophia's Hairpin (MAG+60, SPR+60), which increases the equipped unit's resistance to Fire (+30%) and grants the passive Symbologists' Bond when equipped by Sophia.
Her awakening materials are the following:

- Limit Burst
Meteor Swarm is Sophia's Limit Burst. It is a damage-type ability that deals Fire-elemental magic damage to all enemies, while ignoring their SPR by 50%, and greatly reduces their resistance to Fire for the next three turns. Depending on Sophia's rarity, their resistance is reduced by 80% (5★), by 90% (6★) or by 100% (7★). The number hits also differ: it does two, four or five hits, respectively.
Its damage modifier will depend on Sophia's LB level:

Sophia can equip the following weapon types: daggers, swords, staves, rods, instruments and throwing weapons.

Equipping her Trust Master (the Crescent Rod) will trigger her Trust ability "Earnest Academic", a special active ability which enables Sophia to use her offensive skills (except Southern Cross) three times in one turn. Her Crescent Rod and her Sophia's Hairpin also have one exclusive-effect each for Sophia: the rod's is "Connection Symbol" (recovers Sophia's MP by 5% and increase counter chance by 100%), while accessory's is "Symbologists' Bond" (increase Sophia's MP by 20% and MAG by 50%).

Sophia, Greek for wisdom, is a central idea in Hellenistic philosophy and religion, Platonism, Gnosticism, Orthodox Christianity, Esoteric Christianity, as well as Christian mysticism, and is commonly represented as a goddess. Sophia is also a primary deity in Gnosticism. As a feminine given name of Greek origin, Sophia retains the meaning of "wisdom", with variant names Sofia and Sophie among others in Western culture.
