WotV Cloud

Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII, a recurring Soldier, as he appears in War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius.

The Soldier (ソルジャー, Sorujā?), sometimes abbreviated as SLD, is a recurring unit in the Final Fantasy series that has appeared as both a playable job and enemy. The Soldier job is typically a baseline melee combatant while also commonly having the ability to lower enemy stats; notable exceptions to this are those originating from the world of Final Fantasy VII, where SOLDIER is an elite military organization. Notable Soldiers are Cloud Strife, Marche Radiuju, and Luso Clemens.

As an enemy, the Soldier, also known as the Sentry, Grunt, SOLDIER Trooper, or Terorist, is typically a common humanoid enemy encountered in the early game. The Soldier job may also be used by enemies in certain titles.
