Base direct damage formula:
Gale Enforcer damage over time formula:

Damage over time (DoT) effects deal damage every server tick, or 3 seconds, independent of the effect's duration. This means that the effect may deal damage anywhere between 0 and 3 seconds after it is applied, and in 3 second intervals afterwards. In addition, DoT areas deal an extra tick of damage on creation independent of their timer.

Use[]

Slipstream is Garuda-Egi's Assault II action, dealing light area of effect (AoE) damage on impact and granting Garuda-Egi Gale Enforcer Gale Enforcer, dealing additional damage over time in the target area. Unlike normal DoT effects, Gale Enforcer's damage is caused by a stationary effect in the target area rather than a debuff, and enemies can avoid taking damage by moving out of the area. This area is maintained by the Gale Enforcer buff; should the buff be removed or Garuda-Egi be dismissed for any reason, the DoT area will immediately vanish. Only one Gale Enforcer area can be active at a time.

Slipstream boasts greater potency than Aerial Slash Aerial Slash, its Assault I counterpart, but as the majority of its damage is dealt over time and only one Gale Enforcer can active, Aerial Slash can provide better burst damage in short encounters. Likewise, Titan-Egi's Assault II, Mountain Buster Mountain Buster has the same potency as Slipstream's total in a single hit. Switching to Titan-Egi and using Egi Assault II for a couple quick Mountain Busters can be preferable to using them for Slipstream in short encounters, but Titan-Egi's low overall damage will result in a DPS loss over prolonged periods.
