Slaying Tail in Final Fantasy VIII.

This whip, the Slaying Tail, is known for its tremendous speed and power. It is named after Sleipner, the horse of the legendary GF Odin.

Slaying Tail (スレイプニルテイル, Sureipuniru Teiru?, lit. Sleipnir Tail), also known as Slepinir's Tail or Sleipnir, is a recurring whip in the Final Fantasy series.

Slaying Tail is the second weapon for Quistis, purchased by using Magic Stone x2, a Sharp Spike, and 200 gil. It provides 15 Attack and 104 Hit Rate.

Sleipnir Tail is a weapon for Seven. It provides 10 Attack. It is a reward for "Thwarting the Royal Ambush" (S-Rank on Officer difficulty) or as a Special Order for the "Operation MA Demolition" (secure the lab before researchers can sound the alarm, using active leader). It sells for 180 gil.

Sleipnir Tail is an EX Whip for Seven that enables access to the EX ability, Sadistic Spikes, as well as the abilities Mighty Sadistic Spikes, Sadistic Spikes Recast Up, and Binding Thorns HP+. It provides 101 HP, 60 DEF, 245-320 iBRV, 2791-3241 mBRV, 930-1080 ATK, and adds 70-80 CP.

A whip that greatly increases the user's magic power. The whip has a chance of inflicting confusion upon those it hits. It is said that the tail hairs from the esper Odin's steed, Sleipnir, is woven into the whip, but this has not been confirmed. Whips require proficiency in order to use them properly, but this particular whip is extremely easy to use, to the extent that it feels as if the whip can read the user's mind.

Description

Sleipnir Tail is a Whip that provides 55 ATK, 76 MAG, and has a 30% chance of inflicting Confuse. It can be obtained from Ancient Ruins Level 1.
