Attack all opponents

Description

Single slot. Slash-All is a Command Materia in Final Fantasy VII equipped to provide abilities that damage all enemies with one attack. These abilities are Slash-All, which causes a physical attack against every member of the enemy party, and Flash, which attempts an Instant Death attack against the enemy party. Both attacks are long-range.

Obtained[]

Slash-All is found in the Ancient Forest, which can be reached by using a Green/Black/Gold Chocobo, or after Ultimate Weapon is defeated.

As it can only be obtained once, the only way to have multiple Slash-All Materia is to master it. This requires a large 150000, meaning that it is best to equip weapons and armor with Double or Triple AP.

Use[]

FFVII Cid Flash

Flash.

The Slash-All Materia replaces the Attack command with either Slash-All at level 1, or Flash at level 2 after receiving 130000. Both abilities can take advantage of a character's physical damage to clear a wave of enemies quickly. As both ignore row, the user should be placed in the back row to avoid damage. If the player equips both Double Cut and Slash All, only one of them replaces the Attack command while the other goes unused. Priority is given to the last Materia placed in the character's equipment.

Though Slash-All comes with no stat changes, the basic Slash-All ability should nonetheless be given to characters with a high Strength to deal the most damage: Cloud, Barret, Tifa, and Cid. Barret can also take advantage of the high amount of AP that the Materia has for his ultimate weapon, Missing Score, in addition to dealing strong physical damage with his Strength stat.

The chance for Flash to hit an enemy is equal to the equipped weapon's Attack% halved. This means it should be given to characters with weapons that have a high Attack% accuracy. Tifa's God's Hand and Vincent's Sniper CR are good examples of this.

The player may prefer to use Slash-All over Flash. To still use Slash-All, the Mega All Materia can be equipped as an alternative, or a second Slash-All Materia can be equipped. If both a leveled and an un-leveled Slash-All Materia are equipped at the same time, the one found last in the equipment will decide which ability is available. Left is the lowest priority, right is the highest, and all armor slots are a higher-priority than weapon slots.

The Slash-All Materia cannot be linked with any Support Materia. However, a physical attack dealt with Slash-All can take advantage of any Support Materia that affect physical attacks, such as Elemental and Added Effect.
