Silver Armlet is an upgrade to the Carbon Bangle, providing 7 more Defense, 8 more Magic Defense, and an additional unlinked Materia slot. If the player wishes to level up Materia faster, the Platinum Bangle obtained at Costa del Sol is what should be used instead. Otherwise, the Silver Armlet will provide the best defense until Mt. Nibel, where the player can start getting the Gold Armlet.
