Shock II (ショック, Shokku?) is an ability that was included in the original Final Fantasy XIV as the upgrade of Shock.

It was a Lightning elemental ability that was unlocked by Conjurers at rank 36. It had an action cost of 3, an MP cost of 28 and no TP cost. Its cast time was 3 seconds, while its recast time was 14 seconds. It could be used by any Disciples of War and Magic.

Shock II was dropped in patch 1.20. It never made a reappearance in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

Etymology

Shock refers to a dangerous condition that disrupts the blood flow of the body. Electric shock is the physiological reaction or injury caused by electric current passing through the (human) body.
