Shipwrecks (沈没船, Chinbotsusen?) are optional locations in Final Fantasy Legend III. The people of the World have no ships, because the monsters wrecked them all. Luckily, wrecked ships are full of treasures. There is a total of six shipwrecks that can be found across the seafloor. One shipwreck can be found in the Past, three in the Present, and six in the Future. The shipwrecks can be explored right after receiving the Dive spell from Granny.

It should be noted that the treasure chests found in these shipwrecks cannot be opened multiple times, even if the player starts from the Future and works backwards once the treasure chest is open. It will be empty across the three different eras no matter when the player opened the treasure chest.

Four shipwrecks are found behind seamounts: to reach them, the player must surface, move forward a few tiles and then dive down to the seafloor.
