Shell Armor (ツノガイの鎧, Tsunogai no Yoroi?), also known as Carapace, is a recurring armor in the Final Fantasy series.

Shell Armor is a low-ranked armor that provides 4 Defense (18 in the 3D versions), 4 Magic Defense (9 in the 3D versions, and 4% Evade. It can be obtained from the Nepto Temple and bought for 1250 gil at the Village of the Ancients, and can be equipped by the Onion Knight, Freelancer, Warrior, Red Mage, Ranger, Knight, Dragoon, Viking, Dark Knight, and Thief.
Dissidia Final Fantasy (2008)[]
Shell Armor is a level 2 Heavy Armor that provides 428 HP and Physical Defense +10%. It can be obtained from the shop by trading in 1200 gil, Bronze Armor, Titan Shard, and two Transmogridust.
Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy[]
Shell Armor returns as a level 1 Heavy Armor that provides 1386 HP, -26 Bravery, and Physical Defense +3%. It can be obtained from the Shell Armor|shop by trading in 19680 gil, Bronze Armor, and Figaro Gravel.
