Square Enix has published the sheet music from the Final Fantasy series in many different publications. Most of the books are for solo piano, but some non-piano sheet music books have also been published.
Piano publications[]
Most of the published Final Fantasy sheet music is for solo piano. The books use standard music notation, are entirely in Japanese and vary in difficulty from beginner level to advanced. Typically a music sheet book is published for each game's official soundtrack, arranged to sound as much as possible like the originals on the piano, and another is published covering the game's Piano Collection album, intended for advanced players.
