Shashepya is a non-playable character in Final Fantasy XIV. She appears during the Melee DPS role quests in the Dawntrail expansion.
History[]
Once the Dreamweave Cocoon was stolen, the village's safety was at risk. Thus, they sent their foremost hunter, I'toca, to ensure the treasure was recovered. Despite her skills, I'toca did not contact her village. Fearing that the hunt would be too much for I'toca to handle alone, Shashepya traveled to Tuliyollal in search of someone familiar with the lands beyond the sea to help I'toca. After representatives from several villages had gathered at Xbalyav T've, claiming that their villages' sacred relics had been stolen, Br'uk Evu asked the Warrior of Light to help them. Shashepya explained the situation and said that one of the villagers had encountered the thief before he fled and mentioned that he intended to use the Cocoon's power at a place called Kugane, which was where I'toca had gone.[1]
Shashepya was surprised when the Warrior of Light returned with Kuiyki, who explained everything that had transpired. Shashepya was dismayed to learn of I'toca's death but was relieved that Kuiyki had returned safely with the Cocoon in hand. Despite this, Kuiyki insisted that her accomplishments could never bring I'toca back, nor could she forgive herself for her failures, and thus she vowed to exile herself. Shashepya immediately rejected this, assuring Kuiyki that the forest was her home. Kuiyki eventually agreed with Shashepya and thanked the Warrior of Light for everything they had done. With the hope that their paths might cross again someday, she set off with Shashepya to her village.[2]
