A noblewoman who commands the most powerful of black magics with ease. Known for her short temper, Shantotto wilts and withers mandragora sprouts beneath her fiery glare.

Shantotto is a playable character in Final Fantasy Record Keeper who can be recruited as the First Time Reward for completing Waughroon Shrine on the Classic difficulty in FF XI track of the Core Dungeons. She was also available on the Chaos gauntlet of Discord and Harmony.

She is a rarity among the many Black Mages in that she is both powerful and relatively easy to acquire; she is the only Final Fantasy XI unit available through the core game and boasts top-tier Resistance and Magic. Shantotto has a higher Attack score than most other Black Mages. Although she can also equip Monk skills, she cannot use them effectively. Her Soul Break repertoire, however, can make her a useful ally.

Her default Soul Break is Freeze, which for one Soul Gauge segment deals magic ice damage against all foes.
