A legendary member of SOLDIER who was once admired as a hero. Sephiroth possesses superhuman strength, which helped him amass numerous victories during the Wutai campaign. As he was already a member of Shinra's most elite forces before the war, his accomplishments helped him rise even higher—to the rank of First Class. Although he has inspired many people to join Shinra's army, only a select few pass the rigorous test to become part of SOLDIER.

Sephiroth (5★) description

Sephiroth is a summonable vision and optional playable character in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. He serves as a character representative from Final Fantasy VII, and has been available for summoning since the event Nibelheim (which originally ran in May 2018 in the Global version).

His longcoat could be obtained by clearing Mt. Nibel - Exploration, the companion exploration to the Nibelheim event, with a party of five units or less.

Gameplay[]

Sephiroth is a 5-7★ Rare Summon; his job is listed as SOLDIER, and his role is Physical Damage. He has no innate element or status ailment resistances. His Trust Master reward is the Masamune katana, with an Attack power of 150 and which grants the passive Doublehand. His Super Trust Master reward is the passive ability Distorted Hero.

His awakening materials are the following:

Limit Burst

One-Winged Angel (片翼の天使, Katayoku no Tenshi?) is Sephiroth's Limit Burst. A damage and debuff-type ability, it is a 1-hit attack that deals partially-unmitigated physical damage to all enemies, ignoring their DEF by 50%. It also decreases their resistance to Light and Dark for three turns.

The damage modifier and how much the enemies' resistance is lowered will depend on Sephiroth's LB level:

Rarity Name Change in Effect Cost
5★ One-Winged Angel Base (Lv. 1) Damage dealt (4.3x); decrease resist. by 65% 30 FFBE Limit Burst crystal
Max (Lv. 20) Damage dealt (5.25x); decrease resist. by 84%
6★ One-Winged Angel Base (Lv. 1) Damage dealt (4.8x); decrease resist. by 76% 36 FFBE Limit Burst crystal
Max (Lv. 25) Damage dealt (6x); decrease resist. by 100%
7★ One-Winged Angel Base (Lv. 1) Damage dealt (?x) ? FFBE Limit Burst crystal
Max (Lv. 30) Damage dealt (?x)

Equipment[]

Sephiroth can equip the following weapon types: swords, greatswords, katanas and fists. He has an exclusive-effect weapon: his own Trust Master reward, Masamune, which grants the passive Doublehand and enables Sephiroth to use the ability Octaslash (an 8-hit attack that deals partially-umitigated physical damage to one target).

He can equip the following armor types: hats, helms, clothes, light armor and heavy armor.

He can equip accessories.

Trivia[]

  • Sephiroth's initial ability being "Jenova Cells" is likely an allusion to how he was injected with them before birth due to Professor Hojo's experiments. He also shares this passive with Cloud, who was also injected with Jenova cells; however, Cloud learns the ability at 6★, likely due to having been injected in his adolescence.
