Enemy details
The Sentry Gun is an enemy in Final Fantasy VII Remake. It is a mounted machine gun fought along the Sector 7 Slums Pillar by Cloud and Tifa in Chapter 12, "Fight for Survival".
It can also be fought at the Corneo Colosseum during "Three-Person Team vs. Shinra Warriors".
Sentry Gun (Defense) is also a stationary unit in the Fort Condor minigame in "Episode INTERmission", purchased from Old Snapper after advancing to Rank 2 in "Mastering Fort Condor".

Battle[]
The Sentry Gun is a more powerful version of the Sentry Gun Prototype. The player cannot interrupt the Sentry Gun Prototype once it starts firing. Much like the vast majority of mechanical enemies, the Sentry Gun Prototype is weak against
Lightning. Being a stationary enemy, the Laser Cannon cannot be knocked down in any way, and it resists
Wind.
Hard Mode[]
On the hard difficulty, the Sentry Gun will use Focus Fire more often.
Strategy[]
As they are stationary, the player can focus on defeating the Sentry Guns first before engaging the more nimble human troops. Though they resist physical damage, Sentry Guns ar susceptible to Cloud's Punisher Mode onslaught as they can't dodge away; holding
until Cloud stabs his sword into the ground temporarily grants him
Berserk, greatly boosting his attack power (but also lowers his
Defense). The Sentry Guns are pressured with lightning magic, which is the best way to defeat them quickly; when staggered, the player can finish them with Infinity's End.
