The Sekhret is an enemy in the Dawn of Souls and succeeding versions of the original Final Fantasy. It is a palette swap of the Minotaur and may be a reference to Sekhmet, the boss from Final Fantasy V. Sekhret is found in the deepest level (B31 - B39) of the Whisperwind Cove in the level resembling the Overworld, and more commonly in the Labyrinth of Time.

Stats

Battle

Despite having a staggeringly high Attack power, his physical Defense is low. Low-level wizards will struggle with this monster nonetheless, due to his high Magical Defense.

It has a chance of dropping a War Hammer, which makes up for its low EXP and gil.

Etymology

Sekhret is likely to be a portmanteau between "Sekhmet" and "secret".

In Egyptian mythology, Sekhmet was a blood-thirsty goddess with the head of a lion and the body of a woman in Upper Egypt.
