The Seeq are a race in the Final Fantasy series, primarily from Ivalice.

The seeq are a stout and muscular pig-like race, similar to certain depictions of Orcs who come in a variety of colors and sizes. They dress simply, typically covering up only their lower regions unless they are female, who also cover their their upper half. Besides clothing and temperament, the two sexes are mostly indistinguishable. While other races do not understand the reasons for the patterns of tattoos some seeq wear, they could denote social standing.

Appearances[]

Final Fantasy XII[]

XII-seeq concept

The seeq are not on the same kind of social level as the humes and bangaa. Instead, they are discriminated against and treated as lower-class citizens. This may have something to do with their crude speech style. All seeq are weak to Fire.

Many seeq do manual labor, and it is not uncommon for some seeq to resort to a life of crime, with most seeq becoming thieves.

There are 70 seeq that the player can speak with in the game.

Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings[]

Seeq appear as enemy sky pirates, and their job name is simply "Seeq". They attack from afar using axes and other throwing weapons. One seeq, Vazz, resides within the Galbana and takes a viera Warmage as his wife, who complains about Vazz's overly adventurous streak.

Final Fantasy XIV[]

The Seeq originate from the temperate plains of southern Ilsabard, but were forced to migrate east to Othard after losing the war for their territory. The Seeq make up ten percent of the late Kingdom of Dalmasca's population.

Not intelligent enough to form strong societies, Seeq communities tend to be limited to haphazard gatherings of blood-related family groups. Seeq are often bandits, both stealing from the living and robbing graves to obtain the jewelry they covet and love to decorate themselves with. Some Seeq have used their powerful sense of smell to make a fortune finding and selling mushrooms.

The IVth Imperial Legion has at least one Seeq among their ranks, the most prominent being the beastmaster Daguza oen Sus.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift[]

FFTA2-Seeq

Though one would not think it to look on them, seeq are remarkably quick and agile, making for formidable foes and valued allies. They are not, however, terribly bright, and their moral compass has lost all direction. They lust for gold, jewels, and the like, often adorning their bodies with such, whether ill-gotten or otherwise.

Description

The seeq are one of the new playable races, along with the gria. Only four jobs specific to the seeq race are available: the Lanista, Berserker, Ranger, and Viking.

The seeq is the only race that lacks an Ultima attack or a single magick-centric job, Vikings being the closest in that category (since they can use Thunder Magick). Seeq stats are overwhelmingly physical, and if trained properly can be potent fighters boasting high HP and Speed.

Seeq can be obtained in these locations during Emberleaf or Plumfrost:

  • Aldanna Range - Berserker, Ranger
  • Tramdine Fens - Lanista, Viking (Note: Seeq can only be obtained if the Lanista and Viking jobs are unlocked.)
