Sector 7 - Collapsed Plate Area is a field map in Final Fantasy VII Remake, taking place in the area below Sector 7 as of events of chapter 13, "A Broken World". Its tunnel can be briefly revisited in chapter 14, "In Search of Hope". Both times, the map is explored by a party of Cloud Strife, Tifa Lockhart, and Barret Wallace.
The Collapsed Plate Area comprises a few sub-locations within it: the S7-6 Service Tunnel from the Sector 6 Slums, the remains of the Sector 7 Slums, and the Underground Test Site.

Sector 7 - Collapsed Plate Area has eight levels. The first two are the S7-6 - Service Tunnel and the Sector 7 Slums, while the last six are devoted to the Underground Test Site.
S7-6 Service Tunnel[]
The area can be entered from Evergreen Park in the Sector 6 Slums, and is a narrow metal tunnel with wires running through it, with several parts caved in from fallen rubble. It is first visited in "Crawling to the Surface" in chapter 13, and during this time, a few non-player characters can be seen around the area, and dialogue can be overheard from them. Upon revisiting for chapter 14, the tunnel is entirely empty.
It contains two areas on the map: Power Substation, and Power Substation - Prohibited Area. The former is a linear path to a dead-end, with a ladder on the left up to the Sector 7 Slums remains. The latter is a fork leading right from the end of the first path, leading to a ladder down directly to the Break Room in the Underground Test Site B1. In chapter 13, the ladder to the Sector 7 Slums is accessible, but the Prohibited Area is blocked. In chapter 14, the ladder is removed but the Prohibited Area can be visited, and the Neighborhood Watch Member non-player character can be spoken to for some dialogue.
Sector 7 Slums[]

Visited only during "Home Is Where the Heart Is" in chapter 13, the Sector 7 Slums contains remnants of the Sector 7 Slums in a linear path across rubble over the remains. Its three sub-areas are the Surface Route, the Former Residential Area, and Cave-In.
The Surface Route is a short tunnel from the S7-6 Service Tunnel that leads to the Former Residential Area. At the Former Residential Area, Marle can be interacted with, and a linear path leads over and through the remains of slum houses. When visited during "Home Is Where the Heart Is", a cutscene commences near the end, and a metal plate must be pushed to create a path to the Cave-In, the last area. This area is a cave leading underneath the slums to the Underground Test Site - B1.

The main attraction of the Collapsed Plate Area, the Underground Test Site is visited for the quest "In Solitude" in chapter 13, and later during chapter 14 for "Subterranean Menace".
Quests[]
The Sector 7 - Collapsed Plate Area is visited for two short quests in chapter 13, in which Cloud, Barret, and Tifa walk through the area to check up on the Sector 7 remains, at Barret's suggestion. The three then find the Underground Test Site located beneath.
Later, its tunnel is returned to during "Subterranean Menace" as a route to return to the Underground Test Site.
