Sector 6 Slums is a field map in Final Fantasy VII Remake based in the slums beneath the Sector 6 plate. It is explored first by a party of Cloud Strife and Aerith Gainsborough, and later by a party of Cloud, Barret Wallace, and Tifa Lockhart.
The field is first visited in Chapter 9, "The Town That Never Sleeps", as Cloud and Aerith travel there on the way to the Sector 7 Slums before a detour leads them to the Sector 6 Slums' entertainment district, Wall Market. In Chapter 13, "A Broken World", briefly as Cloud, Barret, and Tifa travel through to search through the wreckage after a battle, and in Chapter 14, "In Search of Hope", several sidequests are available in the Sector 6 Slums areas.
Comprised of two sub-areas, named S6-5 Road - Near Sector 5 for the first half, and the second half, simply named S6-5 Road. The area is a road that leads directly to the north entrance to Wall Market, first visited in "Tour Guide".
At the end of the S6-5 Road - Near Sector 5 section, a fork in the road either leads further down the road to Wall Market, or east to the Former Plate Interior - Utility Access that leads further into the Collapsed Expressway.
Halfway along the path from Wall Market to the fork towards the Collapsed Expressway are a few houses by a lake. Talking to the Old Woman earns the Turks' Theme . The house has a star pendant as a treasure.
The Collapsed Expressway is a dungeon first seen in the quest "Take the Shortcut", and later seen in a variety of sidequests. Here, monsters are encountered along the way, and in the first visit, a minigame requires the player operate a robot hand to move Aerith around in order to reach higher portions.
A playground visited in a few quests. The player can interact with the slide to have Cloud use it, hop across tires, and also use a tunnel in the southwest area beneath a small climbing frame.
Just behind the Evergreen Park is the Sector 6 Slums - Gate. The gate itself is only relevant in a cutscene, but the area is part of a road right that leads to the S7-6 Road to Wall Market.
From Chapter 13 onwards, the Evergreen Park is home to a few shops, and the southwest tunnel leads underground to the S7-6 Service Tunnel in the Sector 7 Collapsed Plate Area. In Chapter 14, the park can become a fast-travel destination for Sam's Delivery Service.
A simple road from Wall Market's east entrance to the Sector 6 Slums - Gate and this to Evergreen Park.
Wall Market has an entrance north from the S6-5 Road, and an entrance east from the S6-7 Road. The area is home to many shops, as well as a large variety of sidequests both in chapters 9 and 14. It is also home to Corneo Colosseum, where several combat challenges can be fought.
The Sector 6 Slums - Gate is a short road connecting the S7-6 Road with the Evergreen Park. The area contains a large gate featured in a cutscene, but the gate itself is inaccessible.
The Town That Never Sleeps
Most of the quests occurring within the Sector 6 Slums occur either in Wall Market or the Collapsed Expressway, through a few take place in the other areas. In "Tour Guide", Aerith takes Cloud down the S6-5 Road, before a taking him on a detour through the Collapsed Expressway. Later, in "Saying Goodbye", the two spend time in Evergreen Park before finding Tifa, leading to "Chasing Tifa" as they run through the S7-6 Road.
A Broken World
The chapter begins in the Sector 6 Slums, in "Through the Rubble", as Cloud and Tifa find their way to meet Barret. In "Words of Hope", they must then travel through the Sector 6 Slums to reach the Sector 5 Slums, going through the S6-5 Road. After this, they return during "Checking on Friends" to look through the Sector 7 rubble, and must cut through the Collapsed Passageway.
In Search of Hope
In Evergreen Park, Wymer offers the quest "Subterranean Menace", which takes place in the Underground Test Site. Beyond this, the majority of Odd Jobs in the Sector 6 Slums during this chapter occur within Wall Market and the Collapsed Expressway.
During chapter 13 and chapter 14, shops are located in Evergreen Park.
