Final Fantasy IV (SNES) - Warp Glitch - Final Fantasy II (US)

The Sealed Cave glitch is a glitch found in the SNES and PS versions of Final Fantasy IV, in which the player can skip the Sealed Cave dungeon, avoiding fighting Demon Wall.

This glitch can be performed immediately after the battle in which Rydia rejoins the party as an adult to help defeat Golbez at the Dwarven Castle. After talking to King Giott, if Rydia casts the Warp spell, the player will be returned to the crystal room in which the battle occurred. Even though Golbez's disembodied hand stole the Dark Crystal that the party was trying to protect, this version of the room still holds a copy of the crystal. The player can take it and return to the throne room. When the player arrives at the Sealed Cave with this Dark Crystal in the inventory, it will trigger the event that normally occurs as the party exits the Sealed Cave after obtaining the Crystal from the dungeon.

This glitch may be useful for speedruns, by allowing the player to skip the Sealed Cave. However, it is detrimental to a normal playthrough; the Sealed Cave contains useful treasures, and if the player still wishes to obtain them, they will have to do so without Kain, who is removed from the party by the triggered event.

This glitch has been fixed in the game's latest versions.
