Sea Serpent (シーサーペント, Shīsāpento?), also known as Young-D, is a recurring enemy in the Final Fantasy series.

The Sea Serpent is an enemy encountered in the Unknown Cave in Soul of Rebirth versions. Its attacks may inflict Paralysis due to its constricting body. The Sea Serpent can also use the Tsunami VIII move, which deals Changeable damage to the entire party.

Final Fantasy III[]

The Sea Serpent appears as an enemy. In the original release it can be fought in the Surface World's river. In subsequent remakes, it is instead found in the outer seas of the Floating Continent. As a water-bound enemy, it is weak to Lightning-elemental attacks. They are only mildly powerful, and can be dealt with with relative ease.

Sea serpents are a family of large serpentine wavekin. While at home in saltwater, in recent years they have been migrating inland to fresh water, and are fully capable of traversing on land.
