The Scorpion Tail (蠍のしっぽ, Sasori no Shippo?) is a recurring weapon in the Final Fantasy series.

Description
The Scorpion Tail is a mace, or flail, and Gogo's ultimate weapon. It is obtained in the Dragons' Den after defeating the upgraded version of the Skull Dragon. True to its name, it is of the Poison element and has a 25% chance of casting Bio on attack. It has an attack power of 225, grants +4 Strength, Speed, Stamina and Magic.

Template:Sideicon The Scorpion Tail is the game's most powerful hammer and with an Attack rating of 119, the Scorpion Tail is the most powerful one-handed weapon in terms of Attack power. Like all hammers it has 2.63s charge, and 1.2s action time, making it average when it comes to attack speed.
It appears at the Bazaar after selling Charged Gizzard x3 (rare poach or 15% Knight's Monograph drop from Thunderbugs in Phase 1 Dig, Crossover B of the Henne Mines), Wyrm Bone x3 (most easily acquired from Skulwyrm, though where the enemy is found has slight effects methods of obtainment), and Scorpio Gem x4 (dropped, stolen, or poached from a variety of enemies). It costs 60,000 gil, and can only be equipped by characters who have unlocked the Axes and Hammers 7 license for 70 LP.
In the International Zodiac Job System, only the Breaker Class is able to equip the Scorpion Tail, and its more powerful variant the Scorpion Tail F. The licenses cost 85 and 175 LP, respectively. The Scorpion Tail F has an Attack power of 133, Evasion bonus of 5, and a katana-like combo rate. It is obtained by selling three Wyrm Bones, three Charged Gizzards, and four Scorpio Gems to the Bazaar.

Description
The Scorpion Tail is the game's most powerful mace with the Weapon Power of 23. It is a rare poach from Hydras (Hydras in the PSP version), or it can be alternatively caught from a highest level Ninja in the Deep Dungeon. It can also be obtained via Rendezvous.

Description
The Scorpion Tail is a Mace and is used by Sages and Alchemists, and provides +38 Attack, +2 Magic, and +5 Resistance. The Alchemist learns its ultimate spell, Meteor, from this mace. It can be obtained either as a random reward for completing a mission, or by stealing it from the Alchemist after he equips it during Mission #22: Present Day. This is only possible after stealing his initial weapon, then stealing from him again.
Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift
Template:Sideicon The Scorpion Tail reappears as a weapon for the Sage and teaches the spell Protometeor to the Alchemist. It provides +48 Attack and +5 Resistance, and can be bought for 7,200 gil in the shop after creating it in the Bazaar after using a Wind Sigil, Crusite Alloy, and Aurea Pollen.
