Scorpion is an enemy fought at the Marsh Cave and Mount Gulg, attacking with regular attacks that can inflict Poison. When first encountered, they are of a large threat to the party, but when encountered at Mount Gulg, they are simple to defeat.

Scorpion is an enemy fought at in the Crumbling House with only Celes, usually attacking in groups of three. They aren't a huge threat to the player except for wasting time on the timer to get through the Crumbling House, but can be more of a threat when it connects with its Lethal Sting ability to inflict Doom.

Ffccrof scorpion

Scorpion is the first boss fought in the game, at Valley of Heroes, and later refought at the Crystal Temple. It is not a particularly difficult foe to defeat, but it can hit very hard with its physical and laser attacks. Its weak point is on its tail, which is easiest to reach from its back or when it sticks its stinger in the ground from missing the player.

EtymologyEdit

Scorpions are predatory arachnids of the order Scorpiones. They have eight legs and are easily recognized by the pair of grasping pedipalps and the narrow, segmented tail, often carried in a characteristic forward curve over the back, ending with a venomous stinger.
