The Scorpion is a bonus boss from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time. It is the first bonus boss fought in the Library, and is the easiest of the bosses to defeat.

Battle

Scorpion fights identical to its counterpart in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates, either attacking with an eye laser, clawing at the player, or by using its stinger.

Strategy

If the Scorpion charges up its stinger, the player should move and let it stick it in the ground, leaving it vulnerable as the stinger is its weak point. The player may also opt to jump on its back and then leap to attack the stinger, but it is advised to be wary as it can attack quickly with the stinger. It is also advised not to grab onto and stay on the stinger as it can quickly counterattack.

Etymology

[view · edit · purge]Scorpions are predatory arachnids of the order Scorpiones. They have eight legs and are easily recognized by the pair of grasping pedipalps and the narrow, segmented tail, often carried in a characteristic forward curve over the back, ending with a venomous stinger.
