Yda NPC Render 2

Yda wearing her signature attire.

Yda's Attire, also known as the Scion Striker's Attire, is the signature attire of Yda Hext in Final Fantasy XIV, and appears in all of her spin-off or crossover appearances.

Profile[]

The attire consists of a white jacket, a dark red sash undershirt, fingerless gloves, white shorts and a pair of red armored greaves. Its most distinctive feature is the mask that conceals the face, with an aetheric contraption, worn on front of her turban.

Appearances[]

Final Fantasy XIV[]

Yda wears the attire until the Battles of Baelsar's Wall, very rarely wearing anything else. During the Gridania storyline she substituted the visor for a Monoa Mask during a traditional ceremony, and while working with the Ala Mhigan Resistance in Thanalan she substituted everything but the visor. The visor itself was damaged during the assassination attempt on Nanamo Ul Namo, being slashed and revealing the eye underneath, but was repaired by the time she reunited with the Scions of the Seventh Dawn.

After Papalymo Totolymo's death at Baelsar's Wall, "Yda" removes the visor, revealing that she was in fact Yda's younger sister Lyse. Lyse had been impersonating the real Yda since her death six years prior, Papalymo having had gifted Yda's mask to her to help with the deception. Choosing to continue on as herself rather than her sister, the attire is largely abandoned, though her new outfit retains the shorts and greaves.

Yda's Attire can be purchased by players via the Mog Station. It consists of the Scion Striker's Visor and Attire Head Head and Body Body armor. The Scion Striker's Attire prevents the use of the Hand Hands, Leg Legs, and Feet Feet slots as well. The shorts, with different tassets, and the greaves can be acquired separate from the body armor via the Scion Liberator's Attire, a separate outfit also purchased on the Mog Station. All items can be equipped only by female characters of any class. They are all level 1 with no bonus attributes, making them suitable only for glamours.
