Scarletite (ヒヒイロカネ? or 日緋色金, Hihi'irogane?), also known as Scarletite Ingot, is a recurring item in the Final Fantasy series.

Description

Scarletite Ingot is a synthesis item used to make Hexed Hakama, Hexed Tekko, Hexed Domaru, Hexed Somen, and Hexed Sune-ate. It can be obtained from the Campaign Ops "Splitting Heirs" mission, Voidwatch "Maddening Radiance", and "Beguiling Radiance" mission, and High Tier Battlefield "The Warrior's Path Tenzen II" mission.

Final Fantasy XII[]

A legendary metal said to bestow divine protection. The product of a lost age, none now live who know the manner of its manufacting.

Description

Scarletite is a piece of loot that is required to create the Gemsteel. It can be stolen from Aspidochelon and Pandemonium, poached Emeralditan, as a monograph drop from Emeralditan, or as a reward for fishing in the Den of River Lord areas. It sells for 1,679 gil.

Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings[]

Scarletite is a medium-ranked Ephemeral Ore that can be bought at the Sky Saloon in Chapter 8 for 7600 gil (10% discount). It can be used to craft Eruptor, Tyrfing, Polaris, and Resonator.

Final Fantasy XIII[]

A fiery metal said to be of divine origin. Functions as a transformational catalyst.

Description

Scarletite is a component that sells for 7000 gil and can be bought from The Motherlode for 100,000 gil after chapter 11. It is a rare drop from Sacrifice (5%) and Adamanchelid (1%). Scarletite can be found in treasure boxes in the Central Expanse area of the Archylte Steppe, and the Tesseracts area of Orphan's Cradle.

Final Fantasy XIII-2[]

A fiery metal said to be of divine origin.

Description

Scarletite is a component that sells for 17,000 gil and is a common drop from Pacos Amethyst, Pacos Luvulite, Raspatil (30%), and Don Tonberry (20%).

Description

Scarletite is a loot that is required to create the Tonberrian, Tournesol, Master Sword, Estrella, Mjolnir, and Reverie Shield. It can be obtained from completing the missions "Pirate Problems", "Survey No. 261", "Ravager", "My Little Carrot", and "Rancher's Request - White", and as a medium to high level loot drop. It sells for 2,800 gil.

Description

Scarletite is a trade accessory that provides Luck +4. It can be obtained from the shop by trading 3,500 gil and Elixir x3, or from the Moogle Shop for 50 KP. It is required in order to create all level 30 exclusive weapons.

Etymology[]

Scarletite's Japanese name, Hihīrokane, is an ancient legendary Japanese metal that is harder than diamond, does not rust and has a phenomenal thermal conductivity at room temperature.
