Sari is non-player character in Final Fantasy XIV. He appears in the Summoner quests.
History[]
A Hyur of Allagan descent hailing from the frontier city of Madain, Sari was a legendary master of summoning and one of the founders of his art. Known for devoting his life to the destruction of primals, he also had a great passion for promulgating his knowledge, taking on many students and creating the compendium known as Principia so that the secrets of summoning would not be lost to time. Sadly, the art fell sharply out of favor in the twilight of the Third Astral Era, and many a summoner suffered persecution or death. Deeply affected by the death of many of his students, he employed advanced technology to create a defense mechanism he called an "evocation matrix", sacrificing himself to collect the aether necessary to power it. This evocation matrix would be tasked to find new summoners and properly train them, but, as the years passed, this mechanism started to malfunction and soon lured summoners to kill them.[1]
The Warrior of Light encountered this defense of mechanism that adopted Sari's appearance and was forced to fight it and destroy it.
