The Sahagin Prince is an enemy in Final Fantasy XIII-2. It is encountered in the Sunleth Waterscape 300 AF after the player has enabled rare monsters to spawn by completing storyline events.

Stats[]

Paradigm Pack[]

Even though Sahagin Prince's stats are relatively low at maximum level, it has the highest ability execution speed among all of the Synergist monsters and can be used to quickly buff the party. Its value is also raised by learning Bravery and Faith, which Serah and Noel cannot learn.

Only Sahagin Prince, Schrodinger, and Cactuaroni have the Auto-Haste ability available for infusion (Yeoman and Samovira have it red-locked). Auto-Haste, Resist Elements +30%, and Auto-Tetradefense are the only three abilities with the highest (ninth) rank, so they can never be replaced by other abilities.

To extend the duration of buffs cast by Sahagin Prince, Mana materials can be used for more Magic. Throughout the bulk of its development, the player must choose between 50% more Magic rounded up with Mana materials, and a sizeable amount of HP for using Potent materials. For example, reaching level 2 with Mana, +9 Magic compared with +6 Magic and +49 HP for Potent. Or reaching level 3, +5 instead of +3 and +27 HP. Near the end of its development, reaching levels 31, 36, 37 and 39, Mana materials give double the Magic of Potent.

Testudo learns Bravega and Faithga, is easier to find, cheaper to raise and has more HP. Players may find this Early Peaker preferable to the Well-Grown Sahagin Prince early in the game.
