Sahagins generally appear in water, meaning the player cannot attack them without the use of either a ranged weapon or a spell, or until the Sahagin jumps out of the water at the player. When the Sahagin jumps out of the water, is is advised to move as the jump actually damages the player.
If the player is too far away for the Sahagin to use its normal attack, but is at an average distance away, it will either attempt to use a Water Gun-type attack or spit bubbles which can inflict the Slow status, making them a dangerous enemy to deal with, especially in a group with other enemies such as the Daedalus. If the player is too far out of range, it may attempt to cast Blizzara instead to inflict the Freeze status. For these reasons, the Sahagin should be the player's priority in a group of enemies.
