Ruby Cuirass (ルビーの胸当て or ルビーのむねあて, Rubī no Muneate?), also known as Ruby Chestplate, Ruby, and Ruby Plate, is a recurring piece of armor in the Final Fantasy series.

Ruby Cuirass is a mid-ranked light armor that provides 15 Defense, -5% Evade, 5% Magic Defense, and -1 Intelligence/Spirit. It can be bought for 600 gil (GBA/PSP) or 800 gil (NES/PSX) at the Tropical Island, or found at Paul's House in Fynn.

Description

Ruby Chestplate is a low to mid-ranked armor for Vaan, providing 36 Defense, 24 Magic Defense, and resistance to Fire-elemental attacks. It can be bought for 3,200 gil from Chapter 3 onwards.

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius[]

A beautiful breastplate adorned with a ruby from a faraway world. It is said this breastplate was originally traded for in its world of origin on a solitary island in the southern seas. Compared to heavy armor which completely covers its wearer, light armor like the breastplate have relatively lower DEF, instead offering enhanced mobility. Therefore, light armor is mainly equipped to enable its wearer to evade enemy attacks.
