History[]
Little Ladies' Day 2014[]
The royal seneschal tells Warrior of Light that a doll contest inspired by Princess Edvya Thorne would be the focus of that year's celebration. He asks Warrior of Light to participate, suggesting speaking with Serendipity, Guildmaster of Goldsmiths' Guild in Ul'dah, for the purchase of a doll. Serendipity says that due to the celebration, there are many requests for dolls for and she could not accept any more orders. She says that Eshtaime's Lapidaries would also participate in the contest with the goal of winning and then selling the doll at auction, and asks Warrior of Light to help popularize their doll.[1]
Little Ladies' Day 2016[]
The Songbirds were the main attraction of the Little Ladies' Day celebration in 2016. Although their expectations were that they would replace F'lhaminn Qesh, the newly formed band had no notoriety. The Royal Seneschal enlisted the help of Warrior of Light to help promote the trio.[2]
The royal seneschal has been busy thinking of ways in which he could ensure the continued success of the girls and has concluded that a leader must be appointed from among them. He says that the new face of the Songbirds would be determined by popular vote and that everyone who has played an active role in supporting the girls, including Warrior of Light, could vote.[3]
Little Ladies' Day 2017[]
The royal seneschal gave the Songbirds permission to choose the weaves and dyes they wanted to use in their own costumes during the celebration. However soon after this they disappeared and consequently a fervent group of Songbirds fans, the Birdwatchers, began to cause a ruckus. A Mythril Eye reporter hired the Warrior of Light on behalf of the royal seneschal to help resolve the situation. Asking Warrior of Light to keep it quiet, the royal seneschal explains the situation and asks to look for them while he and his team continue to fight with the impatient fans.[4]
After searching a bit, the Warrior of Light manages to find the three girls, each of whom is so involved in the preparations for the performance that they have completely lost track of time. The royal seneschal is relieved to see the Songbirds, but as he returns to help the rest of his team deal with the tumultuous crowd, he asks the Warrior of Light to accompany the Songbirds to the Weavers' Guild and ask Redolent Rose to make the costumes. Redolent Rose says that he is a constant fan of the Songbirds and would be more than happy to grant the request. With the preparations ready, the royal seneschal asks the Warrior of Light for his opinion on who of the Songbirds would dance center stage.[4]
Little Ladies' Day 2018[]
For this year's festivities, the royal seneschal planned the main event to be a special performance by the Songbirds that could only be attended by those in the correct costume and with a set of glow sticks. The royal seneschal directed the Warrior of Light to visit the Weavers' and Alchemists' guilds to obtain the required items. With costume and lights in hand, the Warrior of Light participates in the performance and the royal seneschal expresses his gratitude. Each of the Songbirds offers a heartfelt thanks before making a quick exit to prepare for the next show.[5]
As the Songbirds continue to fill the streets with melodies, they spot an apparently lost lonely young girl. Knowing they cannot abandon their tight performance schedule, the royal seneschal enlists the help of the Warrior of Light to locate this girl. The Warrior of Light finds the girl and offers to be her seneschal to fulfill her dream. Soon the Warrior of Light discovers that the girl was a paranormal apparition of a young girl who had been tricked and kidnapped during Little Ladies' Day years ago. The royal seneschal is shocked to hear this. Although he finds her story implausible, he takes comfort in knowing that the girl's spirit has finally been allowed to rest.[6]
Little Ladies' Day 2019[]
With her health improving during the celebration, Aldiytha Thorne, the heiress to the House Thorne, decided to take the opportunity to distribute her daisies at the celebration. She ran away from home leaving only a note for her butler Rodolph indicating that she would join the festivities. Desperate, Rodolph went out to look for her and asked the Warrior of Light for help. Rodolph consulted the royal seneschal and his network of contacts to help find Aldiytha. They soon find Aldiytha and although Rodolph does his best to convince her to return home, she refuses to agree until she has distributed wreaths of flowers made from the daisies she has grown. The royal seneschal is excited by the idea and says he will ask the team of to help with the preparations.[7]
After Aldiytha distributed the crowns around the city, she began to cough indicating that she had tried hard enough for one day. She finally agreed with Rodolph that she should return home. Rodolph contacted Fortin Thorne, Aldiytha's father, and asked that a carriage be sent to pick them up. While waiting for the carriage, the royal seneschal asks Aldiytha to share the reason behind her desire to grow and distribute daisies instead of peach blossoms, which are the symbol of the celebration and of the Thorne family itself. Aldiytha tells a story of Sultan Baldric, who, in his kindness, accepted a gift of daisies from a common girl and made them into a pair of matching crowns. After the pair say goodbye, the royal seneschal encourages the Warrior of Light to continue handing out the flower crowns.[7]
Little Ladies' Day 2020[]
The royal seneschal has asked the Warrior of Light to help ensure that all the young women are happy on that day. Lady Aldiytha, who was in better health and given permission to attend the celebration, appears and tells of a downcast Lalafell she saw among the crowds, and asked for help to find her. Lady Aldiytha and Warrior of Light leave to help the lalafell named Momoru take the celebration to the children's wards of Frondale's Phrontistery.[8]
Valentione's & Little Ladies' Day 2021[]
When postmoogle Kupka Kupp travels to Ul'dah to deliver fan letters to the Songbirds, he was accompanied by Elyne, Warrior of Light, and Astrid de Valentione. The party pays a visit to the royal seneschal at the Ruby Road Exchange. Astrid takes the opportunity that that year the celebrations of Valentione's Day and Little Ladies' Day were held on the same date and delivers a missive from Lisette de Valentione proposing to hold some sort of joint event. Elyne suggested that the Songbirds wear Valentione costumes, a proposal that was enthusiastically received by all involved. Astrid immediately returns to Gridania to make the necessary arrangements. While Astrid was making the preparations, the royal senescal asks the rest of the party to make a gift delivery of sweets to the patients in the children's ward of the Frondale's Phrontistery. After they returned, the Warrior of Light accompanied Elyne to watch the performance, and after the performance, the Songbirds impart some words of wisdom to Elyne.[9]
Little Ladies' Day 2022[]
Royal seneschal, alongside Serendipity and Masked Rose, was one of the judges in the parade during the celebration. They chose Warrior of Light and Marabel as the winning team.[10]
Little Ladies' Day 2023[]
The royal seneschal has informed the Warrior of Light that for this year's Little Ladies' Day celebration, he and Aldiytha Thorne have formulated a plan to distribute replicas of an antique folding fan to all who attend the day's festivities. Seeking to learn more about the fan, Aldiytha took it upon herself to investigate its origins, but has since been forced to stop her research due to her frail constitution. To ease her burden, the royal seneschal begged the Warrior of Light to come to her aid.[11]
Little Ladies' Day & Hatching-tide 2024[]
Jihli Aliapoh described that she had a dream about a goobbue on a stage in Ul'dah and planned to hold a joint celebration of the Hatching-tide and Little Ladies' Day. However, she must first convince the Little Ladies' Day planners that the goobbue artist she has hired poses no danger to people. The royal seneschal traveled to Gridania on behalf of his peers, and Jihli instructed them to visit the goobbue in Bentbranch Meadows.
After being dazzled by the masterful display of Aldemund's companion, Peatie, the royal seneschal was convinced that she would be the perfect choice for Little Ladies' Day. However, Peatie suffers from a case of stage fright, and Aldemund asked Warrior of Light to ride on the goobbue's head to reassure her while she smiles at people. After a successful little tour of Bentbranch Meadows, the pair returned to Aldemund. Although Aldemund believes that his place on Ul'dah's stage is guaranteed, the final decision depends on the judgment of the royal seneschal.[12]
The royal seneschal invites Peatie and Aldemund to Ul'dah so that the goobbue can be the main attraction at this year's Little Ladies' Day. Enlisting the help of the Warrior of Light to comfort Peatie as she gets used to the crowd, the royal seneschal sets off for Ul'dah to make preparations for the big debut. The royal seneschal reports that the Little Ladies' Day planning committee has agreed to welcome Peatie with open arms and invites the Warrior of Light to help stir up interest in the entertainment to come. Once the moment for the performance arrived, the amount of guests caused Peatie to freeze, but Aldemund suggests that Warrior of Light revive her spirits.
Peatie takes to the stage and dazzles everyone present with her performance, receiving much applause that makes her smile with pride. The show is the talk of Ul'dah, and Peatie revels in the people's adoration. Realizing that she must continue on this path and that her best days as a performer are behind her, Aldemund asks the Warrior of Light to take Peatie on his adventures. The royal seneschal and Jihli Aliapoh encourage the Warrior of Light to enjoy the rest of the celebrations in Ul'dah and Gridania.[13]
