The Round Shield (ラウンドシールド, Raundo Shīrudo?) is a recurring shield in the Final Fantasy series that is often a low-ranked shield, providing little Defense and having no special abilities.

Final Fantasy XI[]

The Round Shield is a shield equippable by Warriors, White Mages, Red Mages, Thieves, Paladins, Beastmasters, and Samurai at level 61. It has a Defense of 9. It can be crafted via Synthesis as well as purchased in Aht Urhgan and Kazham. Its high quality version, obtainable only via crafting, has a defense of 10.

Final Fantasy XII[]

Main article: Round Shield (Final Fantasy XII)

In the original version, the Round Shield is a low-ranked shield that provides 14 Evade. It requires the Shields 2 license and 20 LP to use, and is bought at Rabanastre for 1,600 gil.

In the Zodiac versions, the Round Shield now provides 13 Evade and requires the Shields 2 license for 20 LP. It can be bought for 1,100 gil Rabanastre, Bhujerba, Dalmasca Westersand, Dreadnought Leviathan, Nam-Yensa Sandsea, Tomb of Raithwall, and Balfonheim Port for 1,600 gil, found as a treasure in Ogir-Yensa Sandsea (Platform 1 - Refinery, Central Junction), Phon Coast (The Vaddu Strand), or stolen from Ba'Gamnan (First encounter - 3%) and Ripe Rampager in Trial Mode Stage 3 (3%). It can be equipped by the Red Battlemage, Knight, Foebreaker, and Shikari.

Final Fantasy XIV[]

The Round Shield is a low-level Shield for Conjurers. It can be crafted by Carpenters, received as a reward from level 10 battlecraft levequests in the Central Shroud, or purchased for 345 gil in Limsa Lominsa, Gridania, Ul'dah, Lower La Noscea, and the Central, East, and North Shroud.

Round Shield is the second weakest shield, trumped by the Bronze Shield. It provides 4 Magic Resistance and 5 Evade, and teaches Shieldbearer to Sages, Fencers, and Mog Knights for 300 AP. It can be bought from liberated towns for 850 gil and from occupied towns for 900 gil.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift[]

Round Shield is the second weakest shield and provides 2 Resistance and 7 Evasion. It teaches Shieldbearer to both Sages and Moogle Knights for 150 AP. It can be bought for 800 gil in the shop after creating it in the Bazaar after using a Cruzle Brass, Quality Pelt, and Lamia Scale.

Round Shield is a mid-ranked shield that provides 14 Strength, 13 Intelligence, and -2 Agility.

Round Shield is a low-ranked shield that is usable at level 10. It provides +8 Defense and is bought for 37 gil.

In Bravely Second: End Layer Round Shield provides 8 P.DEF, 4 M.DEF, and 21 EVD. It can be bought in Eternia for 120 pg, or found in Pilgrim's Grove, Frozen Hollows, and Eternian Central Command.
