History[]
Early life[]

It was during this troubled time that he fell upon Godbert Manderville with an appetite to take every coin he was worth, but Roland found himself battered and bruised by his would-be victim. As soon as the Warrior of Light has arrived at the Gold Saucer, Ollier welcomes them. Before he can explain about the attractions, they are interrupted by a shout. As soon as they arrive on the scene, they find Goncquard lying on the ground and surrounded by shocked onlookers. Z'napha, a Gold Saucer server, explains that during his meal, the elezen was suddenly overcome by a violent attack and collapsed. Roland appears, attracted by the anguished scream, and demands an explanation. After Ollier informs Roland of the situation, he shocks everyone present by concluding that the victim has probably been poisoned. Roland calls for a quick call to action and appoints Warrior of Light and Ollier as acting inspectors. Ollier wastes no time and immediately deduces the three most likely suspects: Z'napha who served the food, Lyell who prepared the libations, and Flaurie the victim's wife.[2]
After interrogating them and investigating the Gold Saucer, the Warrior of Light discovers the identity of the murderer to be Kokomui. Because of his addiction to gambling, he had accepted a reward for the murder of Goncquard. Kokomui dressed up as Senor Sabotender and stealthily poisoned the food. However, the Warrior of Light also deduced that the mastermind of the murder was Roland himself, thus revealing that the whole incident was nothing more than an act.[2]

Ollier has asked the Warrior of Light for help in solving a robbery and clearing Hugue, one of the attendants who has been wrongly accused as the prime suspect. In the lounge, Ollier briefs him on the details of the incident in question. Hugue has become a suspect primarily because of his proximity to the scene of the crime, as well as a prior theft he committed years ago. Ollier, however, remains convinced that the real culprit can be found elsewhere. With Master Roland's blessing, the Warrior of Light conducted an investigation on their own. To expedite their investigation, Ollier handed over a journal that could be used to record any testimony or observations of the crime scene and surroundings.
After the investigations, the Warrior of Light shares his deductions before a tribunal presided over by Ollier, Master Roland, the Captain Daluce. After a series of arguments, it is revealed that the culprit was actually Blass Blade Pipimaya. Sasapano, Pipimaya's twin brother, went undercover to arrange an alibi for his brother while he was stealing the Sabotender Emperador horn. [5]
