Rodney Murdoch is a character in Final Fantasy XVI. He is the Lord Commander of the Rosarian Army, a close friend of Elwin Rosfield and husband to Lady Hanna Murdoch. He was the tutor of Clive Rosfield, teaching him how to wield the sword.

Murdoch was a calm and focused man who also had a sense of humor. He cared greatly for his student Clive Rosfield, having trained him in fighting and defending himself, and was loyal and dedicated to the latter’s father Archduke Elwin Rosfield, whom he viewed as a brother — according to his wife Hanna.
