Rod of Thorns (いばらのロッド, Ibara no Roddo?) is a recurring weapon in the Final Fantasy series associated with Oerba Dia Vanille. Its headpiece resembles a pair of antlers and the body consists of four long wires with hooks that deal damage to enemies by latching on and pulling, similar to a fishing rod.

Description

Rod of Thorns is a first tier weapon for Vanille. It is her balance weapon with equal Strength and Magic starting at 6 for level 1. It can be found in the Archylte Steppe on a mound near the southern entrance from Vallis Media. Upon mastery, it transforms into a level 13 Orochi Rod.
