History[edit | edit source]
Final Fantasy XIV legacy[edit | edit source]
Rhoswen is seen conversing in secret with Carvallain in an Echo vision when Sthalmann leads the Knights of the Barracuda to capture Emerick in Astalicia. After questioning whether Emerick had really betrayed them, Rhoswen leads the Sanguine Sirens in an attack on Mealvaan's Gate in an unsuccessful attempt to locate him.
In the present, Rhoswen is often seen arguing with Carvallain about which of the two factions should rule Limsa Lominsa.
During the Battle of Carteneau, Rhoswen had initially ignored Merlwyb's order of retreat at Carteneau, hellbent on seeking vengeance against the VIIth Imperial Legion. Carvallain had physically restrained her and forced retreat, to her chagrin.
Rhoswen is featured in an early low-level Limsa Lominsa quest. She reveals their efforts to seize Imperial cargo vessels are not very successful on account of their rivals, the Kraken's Arms, are getting the goods first. The play must use certain emotes to encourage her to spirits.
Like Carvellain, she declines an invitation to join Alphinaud's Crystal Braves.
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Rhoswen is a female midlander Hyur with blonde hair. She is garbed in a red buccaneer outfit.
Personality[edit | edit source]
She has a very rough and headstrong personality, and very proudly declares her crew to be real buccaneers. She seems to have a hatred for Captain Cavallain for him differing on how pirates should act. However, it is hinted she actually has romantic feelings towards the Elezen captain, which she tries to hide under the pretense of rivalry.
