Revenant (レブナント, Rebunanto?), also known as Revnant and Killer Zombie, is a recurring enemy in the series. Revenants tend to be the most powerful of the zombie types in the games they appear in, and like most other Undead enemies in the games they're in, they share a weakness to Fire and Holy-elemental attacks.
Appearances[edit | edit source]
Final Fantasy[edit | edit source]
Revenant is an enemy fought exclusively in the GBA and later ports at Whisperwind Cove. It is the most powerful zombie in the game, however they are still of no threat to the player. As with the other Zombie-type enemies, Revenants focus only on physical attacks that inflict Paralysis, and are weak to Fire-elemental and Dia attacks while resisting Ice-elemental attacks.
Final Fantasy II[edit | edit source]
Revenant is an enemy fought at various locations in the game. It is the most powerful of the zombie-type enemies, hitting with a powerful physical attack that drains HP and heals the Revenant and will generally attack in pairs. It is weak to Fire-elemental attacks, resists Ice, Body, and Mind-elemental attacks, and absorbs Death-elemental attacks.
Final Fantasy III[edit | edit source]
Revenant is an enemy fought at Sealed Cave, and is the strongest of the two zombie-type enemies in that game. In the NES version, they simply attack with regular physical attacks, but in the 3D remakes, their physical attacks may also inflict Poison to the victim. Revenants are weak to Holy-elemental attacks.
Final Fantasy IV[edit | edit source]
Revenant is an enemy fought at Mount Ordeals. Revenant is the strongest zombie in the game, and are relatively powerful at the stage of the game they are fought at. Revenants attack by using a powerful physical attack only. They are weak to Fire and Holy-elemental attacks.
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years[edit | edit source]
Revenant returns as an enemy fought at many locations throughout the game, but is otherwise the same as in the previous game.
Final Fantasy XI[edit | edit source]

Final Fantasy XIV[edit | edit source]

Final Fantasy Tactics[edit | edit source]
Revenants are the strongest of the Ghost family, having one extra Move over the others in the family and the highest Evasion. Revenants fight using Ectoplasm and Drain Touch, and when near an unit with Beastmaster, are capable of using Zombie Touch, being the only one of its family that can use the ability at all. Revenants can be poached into Hi-Ether and Mythril Gun.
The Final Fantasy Legend[edit | edit source]
The Revnant is an enemy and also a possible monster that the party's monster unit(s) can transform into. It can be found on the fist floor of the Tower.
Final Fantasy Legend II[edit | edit source]
The Revenant is an enemy and also a possible monster that the party's monster unit(s) can transform into.
