Resplendence in Final Fantasy XII.

Resplendence (山紫水明, Sanshi Suimei?, lit. Scenic Beauty) is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series. It is the ultimate ability used exclusively by Penelo.

Resplendence is Penelo's Level 3 Quickening, unlocked on her License Board when two others Quickenings have already been unlocked. Its damage is calculated thusly:

$DMG=RANDOM(1\dots 230)\times RANDOM(1\dots Penelo's~STR)$

The damage of each Quickening is summed up at the end to produce the total damage. Regular Quickening hits only damage the target enemy. Certain enemies can reduce received damage, including damage from Quickenings.

Resplendence is Penelo's Finishing Burst, obtained from the "Ephemeral Scenery" passive on the dagger Shikari Nagasa (XII), which was released as a Global-first BT weapon for its 5th anniversary. "Penelo's Theme" plays during Burst Mode or by using the additional Burst ability when upgraded to Burst+.

It reduces all enemies' BRV based on own INT BRV and deals proportionate HP damage to all enemies 5 times based on amount of BRV reduced. It cannot break enemies and does not consume own BRV.

The BT effect lasts for 8 turns and consist of:

• "HP Attack" ability becomes "Fatal Dance" if Rhumba Step or Waltz Step active.
• Slightly raises party's limit of BRV that may be increased in excess of MAX BRV.
• Moderately raises party's BRV gain.
• Moderately increases party's BRV damage dealt.
• Party's BRV damage dealt can exceed limit of 9999 by 20%. (up to 11998)
• Slightly increases party's HP damage dealt.
• Party's HP attacks on hit grant BRV based on burst effect granter's held bravery limit.

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius

Resplendence is an ability learned by Spirited Friend Penelo. It costs 150 MP and deals 9 hits of Light magic damage with a modifier of 150x and reduces Light resistance by 130% for 3 turns to all enemies. It uses the Bolting Strike chaining family.

Resplendence is the Limit Burst for Dancing Heart Penelo. At max rarity and fully powered, it deals 1 hit of Ice magic damage with a modifier of 55x and decreases Ice resistance by 130% for 5 turns to all enemies. In addition, it increases MAG by 250% for 5 turns, enables access to Mist Blizzaja for 3 turns, and increases the damage modifier of Mist Blizzaga and Mist Blizzaja by 6x which cannot be dispelled for 99,999 turns to the caster.
