Reprisal is a spell available exclusively to Paladins. While in effect, it gives a special status effect with the same name, Reprisal, and greatly increase the chance that the Paladin will block with their shield. In addition, one third of the damage they take from a successful shield block, since shields only reduce damage by a certain percentage, will be reflected back onto the attacker.
Final Fantasy XIV[edit | edit source]
Reprisal is a Role Action common to all tanks learned at level 32. It lowers target's damage dealt by 10% for 5 seconds. It has an instant cast time and a 60-second recast time.
Prior to Stormblood, it was a Dark Knight counterattack ability. It can be used immediately after parrying an attack, and does not share a cooldown with many other skills. It has a 30 second cooldown and will lower the damage of its target by 10% for 20 seconds, as well as deal damage with 210 potency.
