Despite his easygoing attitude toward work, he has accomplished countless missions with his longtime partner, Rude. Like a true professional, he thoroughly separates his public and private life and refuses to work when not on the clock.

Intersecting Wills: A Bouquet of Thoughts and Feelings[]
When Aerith silently rues that Noctis and Lunafreya never had the chance to experience the sylleblossoms of Tenebrae, she strikes of on her own to try to find them. However, she is stopped by Reno and the other Turks; he insists that she not go unaccompanied. Aerith accepts the protection of Cissnei and Rude, but insists that Reno not join them, on account of how he had ruined her blossoms carelessly in the past. Reno demurs, instructing Cissnei and Reno to do their best to protect her while staying out of her way. Reno catches up with the other Turks when they return, joining Cissnei and Rude as sthey witness Aerith present her gift. Cissnei tells him of Aerith’s remarkable kindness and selflessness. He laughs, noting how much she contrasts with their mentalities as Turks.
Reno later tracks Aerith's party from a distance as Rinoa leads them to a field of flowers on a sweeping plain. They are in search of a particular flower for Firion, but he eventually calls off the search and the group decides to head back. However, Rinoa mentions that some of these flowers might be meaningful for warriors in the main group back on the airship, but they all realize that they don’t have a wagon to move so many of them. Just then, Reno reveals himself to their party, announcing that he has secured one with the help of Zack. Aerith thanks him, albeit suspiciously, given the impeccability of his timing. The group is able to return to the airship with many displays of flowers in tow.

- Reno is paired with Quistis for his Force Mode and is Nabaat's FR partner. All three are affiliated with an elite organization from their home worlds (Reno is member of Turks, Quistis is a SeeD, and Nabaat is the Commander of PSICOM), while also being trained in military weaponry.
