Final Fantasy Wiki

Regole, also known as Lugor Bordertown, is a small frontier town in Final Fantasy V in Galuf's world and the merged world. Though the town is talked down by its residents, it is nonetheless famous for its brew. The town is located north of the Sealed Castle of Kuza.

History[]

After the battle at the Big Bridge, Bartz Klauser and the rest of the Light Warriors were flung to Gloceana. When they arrived in the border town of Regole, they were the first visitors in years.[1] The party rested and that night, Galuf Halm Baldesion had a drink with Bartz, where they discussed the events at Castle Exdeath and Bartz's reason to stay.[2] In the next morning, the heroes headed towards the desert.

Geography[]

Regole is a frontier town[1] located on the north end of the continent of Gloceana in Galuf's world, an area considered dangerous by the population due to its monsters.[3][1] In this world, it is surrounded by mountains to its east, forests to its left, and ocean to its north. The Sealed Castle of Kuza and forests with moogle residents are located to its south; some residents are aware of the Sealed Castle's history, while the moogle presence is relatively unknown.[1] In the merged world, it is similarly located north of the Sealed Castle and adjacent to forests and mountains, but rather than an ocean to its north is more green land.

Regole is described by residents as a podunk town, where visitors are extremely uncommon.[1] The main point of interest is its pub, as the town is famous for its brew.[2][1] However, the low population of the town also means its pub does not have dancers.[1] Besides this, the town is home to the usual shops and an inn.

Quests[]

Staying at the inn when first visiting the town can lead to a short scene with Galuf and Bartz.

If the player dances on the pub's stage in Regole, the pub owner will reward the party with 100 gil. This can be done repeatedly.

The party leader can play a piano at the end of a hidden passage in the pub. Playing all the pianos in the world acquires the last song, Hero's Rime, after showing the newfound pianist skills to the bard in Crescent. The piano in Regole is the sixth piano the player is likely to encounter, and if the player played all the previous ones, the party leader will play an excerpt from "Beautiful Dreamer" by Stephen Foster.

Musical themes[]

Like in many other towns, "Town Theme" (街のテーマ, Machi no Tēma?) plays as the background music to Regole.
