Reddas joins the party as a guest in Final Fantasy XII after the party acquires the Treaty-Blade. He wields the Chirijiraden and Ninja Knife, and is equipped with a Dragon Mail, Dragon Helm, and a Battle Harness (original) or Steel Gorget (Zodiac). Reddas's weapons, the Chirijiraden and the Ninja Knife, do not match the appearance of their names, and have their designs based on different weapons: his longer sword resembles a Kora , a sword of Nepalese origin, and his shorter sword of a Kopis or a Khukuri.
In the original PlayStation 2 version, he has the augments Last Stand, Adrenaline, Counter, Parry, and Null Evade. He knows Telekinesis.
In the Zodiac versions, Reddas can cast Arise and Holy, and use the Technicks Stamp, Bonecrusher, Sight Unseeing, and 1000 Needles. He has the augments Adrenaline, Last Stand, Headsman, Martyr, Null Evade, Parry, and Spellbound. He can now attack flying enemies with his normal attack (in the original, he needed to use his Telekinesis).
Reddas is the fastest party member the player has access to alongside Reks and his entry level is calculated by the average of the two highest leveled party members, plus two. Reddas's base Strength is high, and it is augmented by heavy armor, but his HP is low, even for a character that had bought no +HP licenses, and will benefit from Bubble. Reddas's victory pose is to draw both his Chirijiraden and Ninja Knife and swipe them in the air. As a guest, he cannot access the License Board system or use a Quickening.

Quests[]
Reddas joins the party after obtaining the Treaty-Blade. He leaves the party at the top of Pharos; the storyline areas he is used for are Ridorana Cataract and Pharos at Ridorana. There are numerous bosses during this time: one at Ridorana and several in Pharos.
During the time Reddas is available, the player can tackle many late game optional areas, hunts, Espers, and Rare Game. The Strahl can now used for fast-travel now, so the player can easily get around. However, Reddas is not of much help against the harder challenges. In the original PlayStation 2 version where his gambits cannot be customized, he might be a hindrance in some places, such as the hunt against Roblon if he were to run on ahead and spawn too many skeletons that would then overwhelm him. In the Zodiac versions, the player can turn his gambits off or modify them to suit their needs.
Orthros can appear even if the party has Reddas as a guest. Footrace minigame in Balfonheim is also available after Reddas joins as a guest (though the game is played as Vaan). This can be played by talking to Rikken outside of Reddas's manse. Reddas joining the party also marks the point the player can spawn the Lv.99 Red Chocobo on Ozmone Plain.
