The Red Mage (あかまじゅつし, Akamajutsushi?) is a character class from the original Final Fantasy who can be selected as a member of the Warriors of Light at the game's start. This class can use both Black and White Magic, as well as wield many different weapons and pieces of armor.

In the Dawn of Souls version and subsequent remakes, there are ten optional auto-names for the different character classes. Most names refer to another character or place in the Final Fantasy series.
