The Red Jacket (レッドジャケット, Reddo Jaketto?), also known as Crimson Vest, is a recurring light armor in the Final Fantasy series. It is usually a lighter armor piece and resists Fire as well as providing stat boosts.

Description

The Red Jacket is a powerful light armor that resists Fire. It is exclusive to the Dawn of Souls and 20th Anniversary versions, and is found as a treasure in Whisperwind Cove. It gives +5 Strength, +2 Agility, +1 Intelligence, and +4 Stamina, and is used by the Thief and Red Mage and their upgrades.

Final Fantasy III[]

The Crimson Vest is an armor exclusive to the 3D version, and is only usable by the Red Mage class. It is given to the party by the Legendary Smith after the Red Mage reaches level 99. The Crimson Vest provides 50 Defense, 25 Magic Defense, and +10 to every Stat.

Final Fantasy IV[]

Jacket resistant against fire.

Description

The Red Jacket is Edward's ultimate armor, with 21 Defense, 12 Magic Defense, 20 Evasion, 4 Magic Evasion, and resistance to Fire. It is found in the Cave of Trials.

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years[]

Red Jacket is an armor that provides 21 Defense, 12 Magic Defense, 20 Evasion, 4 Magic Evasion, resistance to Fire, and +10 to Speed and Strength. It is only found in the Depths.

Final Fantasy VI[]

Prized armor that negates fire damage.

Description

The Red Jacket is found inside the Zone Eater, stolen from Demon and won in the Dragon's Neck Coliseum. It is only usable by Edgar and Sabin, and gives +1 Magic Power, +2 Speed, +4 Stamina, and +5 Strength. It nullifies Fire damage.
