The Red Elemental is an enemy in Final Fantasy X-2 found in the Kilika Woods, Mushroom Rock Road, Thunder Plains, Macalania Woods, Lake Macalania, and Cloisters 4 to 6 of the Via Infinito. It uses Red Element's model from Final Fantasy X. The Red Elemental is of no threat and can be dealt with with relative ease, usually by using Ice elemental attacks. However, using Fire-elemental attacks will heal it.
Fiend Tale[edit | edit source]
- I once served the great leader of the Guado, Jyscal. Do you know what became of the Guado... afterward? Guadosalam is now under the influence of sphere hunters. No sign of the Guado remain. They've even occupied the leader's home. What could have happened to the Guado...?
- I see... So it was Young Master Seymour who... Oh, the horror of it all! In hindsight, perhaps the Guado had been cursed since that day,,, Ever since I escorted Young Master Seymour and the Queen Mother to Baaj... Master Jyscal had given me orders to serve as the young master's nanny.
- Mixing blood with humans is quite a taboo amongst us Guado. The persecution of Master Seymour and the Queen Mother, who was human, was something not even Master Jyscal could stop. By exiling them to Baaj, he was able to keep the peace. That stormy night, we were sent off the sea, in secret, with only an handful of guards. Master Jyscal was not there to see us off. The Queen Mother gazing toward Guadosalam, with the young master clutched to her chest, is a sight I will never forget.
- After escorting the two to Baaj Temple, we set sail back to Guadosalam. However, just as we were about to arrive, we were attacked by Sin, and our ship was sunk. I was swallowed up into the ocean, yet was not sent to the Farplane. When I came to, I saw that I had been turned into a fiend instead. I wandered through Spira, and finally found my way back to Guadoasalam. I must report back to Master Jyscal. Please, let me into his mansion.
One notable Red Elemental was created from the spirit of the wife of Tromell, who helped escort Seymour Guado to Baaj. She died on the way back to Guadosalam and eventually returned, lamenting over the fate that befell her people from Seymour's actions.
