The Razor Ring is a weapon for Yuffie in Final Fantasy VII. It can be purchased in Wutai, and has stats on-par with weapons for other characters available there. Razor Ring has five Materia slots, four of which are linked.

The Razor Ring can be purchased from Wutai Village for 6,000 gil. As Wutai is an optional location, its use to the player depends on how soon the player travels there. If they travel to Wutai before reaching Icicle Inn, Razor Ring is Yuffie's strongest weapon until that point. However, the shops in Wutai are closed until the player completes the sidequest there.

As the Razor Ring has a base Attack stat bonus of 49, the base damage for physical attacks when the Razor Ring is equipped is in the following formula:
where "Level" is Yuffie's current level and "Strength" is her Strength stat. The Razor Ring also has an Attack% (Accuracy) of 105%, and grants a +12 bonus to Yuffie's Magic stat.

The Razor Ring is available from Wutai Village, and its usefulness depends on how soon the player visits there and completes Yuffie's sidequest that makes stock in the shops available. The Razor Ring is a strong weapon for Yuffie before reaching Icicle Inn, though the Magic Shuriken can also be found at Wutai, with a greater Attack stat but lower Magic and Materia slots. Razor Ring has five Materia slots, four of which are linked, and greater stats than previous weapons available for Yuffie.
The Razor Ring has five Materia slots, four of which are linked. As Yuffie has average stats across the board, she can be viably built towards both physical or magic damage with no preference for either. Therefore, Razor Ring's slots can be used for a variety of mixes of Materia depending on the chosen playstyle. Stacking Magic Materia and Summon Materia helps her for magic damage, while Command Materia and Independent Materia can be used either to complement her spellcasting or to gear her towards a physical damage role instead.
If the player travels to Wutai before the Icicle Inn, Razor Ring is her best all-round weapon. The Magic Shuriken by comparison locks Yuffie more into a physical damage role, as while it boosts her Attack considerably at the stage acquired, it has no Magic boost and none of its three Materia slots are linked. This Razor Ring more versatile by comparison. The Hawkeye at the Icicle Inn is the next upgrade for Yuffie as a versatile weapon.
Etymology[]
The weapon's Japanese name is "Full Moon Ring". A full moon is the lunar phase that occurs when the Moon is completely illuminated as seen from the Earth.
