Ravus Nox Fleuret (レイヴス・ノックス・フルーレ, Reivusu Nokkusu Furūre?) is a character from Final Fantasy XV and it associated media, including the feature film Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV.
Profile
Appearance
Ravus is an adult man with an imposing physical build, shoulder-length blonde hair and a chiselled face. In his role as a Niflheim staff officer, he wears a large-collared black and white frock coat trimmed with purple, and armored boots.
Story
Ravus appears in Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV as part of Niflheim's party to attend the peace treaty event in Lucis. He is a high level staff officer for the Niflheim. He is the brother of Lunafreya Nox Fleuret.[1]
It is implied that he is also the "Hooded Man", a mysterious figure in the events of Final Fantasy XV.[1]
Creation and development
Voice
Ravus is voiced in Japanese by Yuichi Nakamura.[2] He shares his Japanese voice actor with Cid Raines from Final Fantasy XIII and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and Trey from Final Fantasy Type-0.
Etymology
Ravus is a word that means "gray" in Latin. As the conditional of ravi, it can also translate to "to delight/enchant."
Nox means "night" in Latin.

- Until his reveal, Ravus was known as the "Hooded Man" due to his appearence in multiple pieces of media related to Final Fantasy XV and Final Fantasy Versus XIII wearing a hood and sometimes a mask.[1]
