A young man who appears in the tales of holy stones known as auracite in the distant world of Ivalice. Ramza is a mysterious warrior who left many questions unanswered, after his untimely death, regarding his role in the War of Lions, and his actions as a heretic. Born the third and last son of the noble house of Beoulve, he strove to uphold his family name by becoming a knight alongside his childhood friend Delita, eventually joining the Gariland Royal Military Akademy with him. However, when compared to his two half brothers who were already knights, he never considered himself worthy of the house name.

Ramza is a summonable vision and optional playable character in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. He serves as a character representative from Final Fantasy Tactics, and currently has two different variants: "Ramza" (based on his Chapter 1 appearance) and "Mercenary Ramza" (based on his Chapter 2 outfit).

Ramza is a 5-7★ Rare Summon that has been available for summoning since the event Orbonne Monastery Vaults (which originally ran in September 2016). His job is listed as Squire, and his role is Support. He has no innate element or status ailment resistances. His Trust Master reward is the Brave Suit (DEF+51, ATK +15%, MAG +15%). His Super Trust Master reward is the Escutcheon (FFT) light shield (DEF+60, SPR+60, HP +15%), which increases the equipped unit's resistance to all elements (+20%).

Ramza has three traits that can be enhanced: Hero's Rhyme, Weapon Break, and Mind Break.
- Limit Burst
Scream (さけぶ, Sakebu?) is Ramza's Limit Burst and a support-type ability. When he performs, he boosts the target's ATK and MAG by a certain amount for the duration of three turns. Depending on Ramza's rarity, it targets one ally (5-6★) or the whole party (7★).

Mercenary Ramza (傭兵ラムザ, Yōhei Ramuza?) is a 5-7★ Rare Summon that has been available for summoning since the event In the Name of Love (which originally ran in July 2017). His job is listed as Squire, and his roles are Physical Damage and Tanking. He has no innate element or status ailment resistances. His Trust Master reward is the Japa Mala accessory, which increases the equipped unit's stats (HP/MP/ATK/MAG +20%). His Super Trust Master reward is the Reverie Shield (FFT).

Mercenary Ramza has five traits that can be enhanced: Stone Throw, True Hero, Blade of Justice, Branded Heretic, and True Justice.
- Limit Burst
Ultima Blade (アルテマ剣, Arutema Ken?) is Mercenary Ramza's Limit Burst. A damage-type ability, it is a 1-hit attack that deals unmitigated physical damage to all enemies, ignoring their DEF by 50%. It will also dispel them, removing all status effects.

Ramza[]
Ramza is one of the oldest 5★ base rarity units in the game for the support role. As such many of his moves are initially very weak for present time, however, they can be enhanced for great results. His Hero's Rhyme becomes a very powerful buff ability for the party, boosting stats by 100%, that along his Break moves that get a tremendous boost of 60% and a long turn duration allow him an adequate rotation of Breaks and buffs. His 7★ expands this with additional Break abilities, the ability to use them twice per turn and even grant an HP barrier to all allies, making him a versatile and useful support unit.
Mercenary Ramza[]
Mercenary Ramza serves as a Physical Damage, Tank and Support unit, the latter two being his primary functions. Initially he doesn't have much power in any role having rather weak Breaks and only a passive Cover for Tanking. His enhancements, fix all of these flaws, granting him a powerful Provoke in Stone Throw, an ATK/MAG Break on Blade of Justice and far more powerful and durable breakers on Weapon Break and Mind Break (provided they are used right after the enhanced Blade of Justice) allowing an effective turn rotation or provoking, and breaking, eventually having his provoke and both breaks set. He's also immune to all status ailments, and his enhances grant him resistance to Charm, elemental resistances and a no small amount of HP, ATK, DEF and SPR bonuses, essential for his roles. His 7★ grants him the ability to function as a Cover Tank both Physical and Magical, although only through Cooldown abilities, so if Mercenary Ramza were KO'd he could not reapply said Cover immediately. He also becomes a Fire Physical Chainer and can perfect chain with 7★ Knight Delita. Making him a powerful and slot efficient unit.
