Rainbow Robe is the strongest robe for Rydia found at the Lunar Ruins. It provides +25 Defense, +15 Magic Defense and Evasion, +10 Magic Evasion, and +10 Intelligence, as well as resistance to magic attacks.
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years[]
Rainbow Robe is a dummied out armor that can still be accessed via hacking. It would have provided +25 Defense, +25% Evasion, +11% Magic Evasion, +15 Magic Defense, and +10 Intelligence, and would have been usable by Rydia, Palom, Golbez, and Harley.

It's name not only comes from how it shines in different colors depending on how it's held, but also from its ability to reduce damage taken from seven types of elemental attacks. Etymology[]
A rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon that is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky. It takes the form of a multicoloured arc. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the sun.
