37 - Dying of the Light[edit | edit source]

Mark: Rafflesia
Locale: Faultwarrens - A Dance of Light

Souls are wrought of shadow or of light; harmony, of a balance between the two.

Rejoin the harmonious circle. Feed the insatiable appetite of the Rafflesia, here at the source of light's flow.

Stats[edit | edit source]

Battle[edit | edit source]

Rafflesias drain HP from a party member using Nutrient Absorption.

Strategy[edit | edit source]

The mission is fairly easy as a preemptive strike is almost guaranteed. Rafflesia are weak and easy opponents. Exploiting their weakness with Flamestrike and Fire-based spells make quick work of the group.

Etymology[edit | edit source]

The Rafflesia is a genus of parasitic flowering plants found in southeastern Asia, on Indonesia, Malay Peninsula, Borneo, Sumatra, Thailand and the Philippines. Rafflesia was found in the Indonesian rain forest by an Indonesian guide working for Dr. Joseph Arnold in 1818, and named after Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles, the leader of the expedition.
