Quaga (クエイガ, Kueiga?), also known as Quake 3 or Quake III, is a recurring Black Magic spell in the Final Fantasy series. It is a stronger version of Quake and Quakra.

Quake III is an enemy ability used by Phlegethon in The Labyrinth of the Ancients and Nabriales in The Chrysalis. When used, the ability deals heavy earth damage to the entire party.
In addition, Ancient Quaga is an enemy ability used by Xande in the Syrcus Tower. The ability inflicts severe damage to all targets within a radius of 100 yalms. In order to avoid taking potentially fatal damage from the ability, players must be under the Levitate status. This ability is also used by the Xande Clone in the World of Darkness, which deals less damage and can be interrupted.
A different variant of Ancient Quaga is used by King Thordan during the final fight with him inside the The Singularity Reactor. When used, the floor will transform into rupturing earth and deal damage to all targets on the field.

Non-Final Fantasy guest appearances[]
Other Square Enix titles[]
Quaga has appeared in other Square Enix titles as an ability, referencing the Final Fantasy version of the spell.
In the Nintendo DS remake of SaGa 3: Jikuu no Hasha: Shadow or Light (known as Final Fantasy Legend III in English), Quaga is the third tier of Quake magic available to players. The spell deals magic earth damage to all enemies. However, it is not the strongest form of Quake available in the game, with the spell being outclassed once the player learns the Hell Quake ability.
Quaga appears as a recurring spell in the Bravely series series, often as a Time Magic spell. In the original Bravely Default and Bravely Second, Quaga is a level 5 Time Magic spell. In both games, it deals major earth damage to one target and can be group-casted. It costs 45 MP to use in both games.
